33rd Street Parking - Galveston

Good afternoon everyone!

I am getting our parking lined up for our cruise in June and came across 33rd Street Cruise Parking and the rate is amazing! But I can not find reviews on it. Have any of you all parked there before?

The rate is $50.00 for our 5-day cruise, the others I have seen are 70+. But I don't want to save a few bucks if our car won't be there when we return.

Several of the lots do not have availability for our sail date.

We always use Lighthouse parking . They have a coupon to use on internet good for $10.00 off. We are going on a 5 day cruise on Breeze in October and our parking fee is $65 for a covered spot. They have good security there and if the ship is late or early, they send you a e mail. They generally get you to the ship in 10 or 15 minutes depends on activities going on in Galveston. Some spots are nearer to the ship, but we have been using Lighthouse for all of our 20 plus cruises out of Galveston

Joined the actual Galveston PORT PARKING on 25th st literally across the street from the terminal. Its an actual building, with security, Get a discount every time we use it. drop off your bags, go park, walk across the street to the terminal. Never had a problem. Shame the skybridge has been closed...but it hasn't been open in years..not ADA compliant, and they can't figure out how to revamp terminal security to allow for it...when it was built, it was designed to get from the parking building to right inside the terminal. never go outside...oh well...doesn't matter...very happy with 25th st parking...runs about 100 or so, but they have discounts virtually every time and you earn points which equal actual dollars off..and you can build them up so that eventually you can park free. As usual, another cruiser suggested it, did some research and...........

Thanks, y'all! I did further research last night and it seems it's a fairly new parking lot. It used to be a large truck wash, but someone bought the lot and put up a fence, and decided to do cruise parking.. I think I will go ahead and pay the extra 20 or so and park at either the Lighthouse ( the site wouldn't work yesterday) or at the port as a guest. They are both comparable in price.

I've learned it isn't always the best to save a few bucks.. and since Murphy's Law is always on my side, I will just stick to what I already knew Big Smile

While we may never need this, it is great to have the information. I now have family in Texas (Dallas), and she may wish to drive down for a cruise. Thanks, everyone!
