Carnival Elation overview

Compared to the modern mega-ships of recent years, Carnival Elation is a relatively small vessel. Debuting in 1998, this Fantasy class ship from Carnival Cruise Line has undergone several updates over the years to increase occupancy, but more importantly to improve the fun. The most recent dry dock came in 2017 where Elation went under the multi-million dollar renovation process as part of Carnival’s Fun Ship 2.0 initiative. Venues were added including the WaterWorks aqua park, Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, and RedFrog Rum Bar. Elation is great for families with young children and teens with it's onboard The Suess at Sea programming and The revamped Camp Ocean kids’ club, where children 2-11 are divided into groups and kept entertained with age-appropriate activities. Those ages 12-14 can hang out at Circle “C,” and Club O2 is the perfect getaway for teens ages 15-17 to do stuff like watch movies, listen to music, play video games and even have karaoke jam sessions.

While the kids have their fun, adults can dive into the many activities and venues that are just for them. The Serenity Retreat deck is an 18+ area that will make you feel as though you’re the only passenger on board. This was my first cruise and I wouldn’t do it again. The amount of money I had to keep spending that I wasn’t aware of was crazy. There were lines for everything and the food was ok. Everyday I had to walk around trying to find a beach chair. The only good thing was the dinner staff. Daniel and Ramsey were amazing! They remembered our names and were so attentive. They even cooked us a native dish from their country!!!

We Loved everything about our cruise except our excursion in Nassau. The Food, service, shows, entertainment, relaxing on the boat were all awesome. We talked to customer service about our excursion and how bad it was, they didnt seem to care and never communicated further as they promised us.

Don’t buy the internet plan, we spent 170$ and it didn’t work! When I asked guest service about it, they just said that it’s ok and sometimes something was going 😑 by eg225118

It was our first cruise and we were very excited about this trip. But high price for unworking internet is not good, we spent 170$ for nothing. We couldn’t use it. And when we had accident during the dinner in restaurant personnel didn’t come to us to discuss the situation and they didn’t say sorry for injuries. I was disappointed that fact.

anyone that goes to Progresso BIG TIP:::: ride the free shuttle to the town, they sell excursion there. SAME AS CARNIVAL and 1/3 the price we paid $35 for an all inclusive and upon arrival saw people from Carnival that said they paid $85. Every cruise on the ship can be bought on the free bus ride into town

Ask your room stewad for a hair dryer before you need it. Sandwitches at the deli are fresh made/grilled. Had a Ruben that was better than most shore restaurants. Not a luxury ship - but is priced accordingly and I'd sail on the Elation anytime it fits in with our plans. All things considered A+
