How do you pack ?

Do you roll your clothes? Use packing cubes ? Toss everything in and hang stuff in the bathroom to get out the wrinkles ?

Maybe you hire a professional packer……

Any tips or tricks ?

Me ? I use vacuum / compression bags for most of our stuff. I even pack a jumbo one for dirty laundry.

Oh, we also bring older underwear and t shirts so we can just throw them out and save space.

We do the same and buy only as needed. We use packing cubes and roll up our clothing to pack. All saves space.

I pack clothes that can easily be rolled, except for my formal night dress. That goes in a garment bag. It's a black and grey swirled, glitter, spaghetti strap, scoop neck, ankle-length gown that can't be rolled.

Think of packing as as large 3D tetris game. I roll many things and those that do not get tucked into corners. Good items are last and laid on top then the suitcase closed.

I've rolled and cubed and vacuum bagged, but the last time I "bundled". Although it was a pain the the backside, I found it was a very efficient method for space saving and it also did a good job at alleviating wrinkles. However, I'll probably go back to rolling because with bundling you lose any flexibility if the need arises to get at something deep within the bundle prior to unpacking. Once unbundled, you have to start the whole bundling process all over again.

Something kind of like this!

I roll and use compression packing cubes.

Packing the clothes always seems pretty much irritating to me. But, I have to do so, Let me also know if there are any prominent ways.

I will try to be a roller this go round.. trying to get all of my stuff and hubby's stuff in one suitcase, then little man's stuff in a smaller one. I will carry a backpack (my little man will too) to use for the souvenirs we buy. Will it work? Only time will tell

First make a list of things you need:

Shirts - Bring 2 shirts for each day, so 7 day cruise I would bring 14 shirts.

Underwear - BRING A LOT OF THESE! Use this formula: Days Of Cruise = How many Pairs + 3

Pants - 7

Socks- 6

Shoes- Depends, bring tennis shoes and flip flops

Sweat Shirt- Bring 2/3 of these, even when sailing to bahamas. Cruising in night get's really cold and windy.

Coat- Bring it just in case..

Always bring a rain coat too!
